It is commonly recognized that logistics has become a major strategic issue for all companies, whether they are part of the primary, secondary or tertiary sector. Этим изданием компания ЛокИС отмечает свой 30-летний юбилей. Компания ЛокИС, как и ее основной продукт ИС ЛокОФФИС малоизвестна на рынке, поскольку все это время уделяла основное внимание исследованиям и разработке процессов автоматизации в области управления организациями и практически не интересовалась распространением рекламной информации о своих результатах Впервые ИС ЛокОФФИС была представлена на выставке "СофТул-92". С тех пор эта система используется в десятках крупных организаций торговли и постоянно развивается. В данной книге представлена информация по версии 6.00, хотя в данный момент работа над системой ведется в рамках версии 7.XX. В процессе разработки системы была создана специализированная технология, позволяющая коллективу программистов совместно вести работу над общим программным продуктом с обеспечением необходимого тестирования и версионной поддержки. Эта технология обеспечила безотказную работу системы в течение многих лет на конфигурациях до 200 пользователей без привлечения разработчиков. В качестве СУБД первоначально использовался продукт db_Vista III американской корпорации Raima Corp., официально приобретенный в исходных текстах в 1991 году. На базе этого продукта путем его глубокой модернизации и специализации была разработана собственная СУБД Locis, на которой в настоящее время и базируется Интегрированная система ЛокОФФИС, являясь полностью импортонезависимым отечественным продуктом. В первой книге размещены "Руководство пользователя" и "Руководство администратора", а также приложены изданные в разное время статьи поясняющие концепции, заложенные в разработку.
